I received an email from Eric a couple weeks back, telling me he will be praying for my debate at the University of North Texas where I attend. Praise God, and Christ was glorified. 85% of the voters out of 200 voted that ID should be taught in the public school system. I was extremely amped with all the progress that was made, Praise Jesus. After countless congratulations, a fellow came up to me and told me something that reminded me of one of Dr.Hovinds' stories. This guy had never heard of Creation Science and never new anything other than the lies in the evolution theory. Thank you Jesus for that opportunity.

Thank you so much for this wonderful ministry God has blessed you with. Ever since I have watched the Creation seminars it has weighed heavily on my heart to tell as many of my friends as I could. I pray I will continue to reach my fellow students on campus and that they receive and clear image of Christ and his Creation. I pray for your family, staff, and ministry continually.

You see, the only internally consistent worldview is the Christian world view. Every other worldview will implode with an internal critique.

This is the assumption that tomorrow will be like today. However, this is an assumption. What is its basis? Christians are constantly bombarded with objections to their worldview, and scramble to try to answer them. In this 4 part series I talk with Sye TenBruggencate of www.proofthatgodexists.org about a method of defending the faith which is a powerful way to avoid the run-around, and cut to the heart of the matter.

In this second installment, we examine how unbelievers use logic to try to argue against the Christian worldview, but borrow the foundations of logic from the very worldview they are arguing against. Not only can the unbeliever not account for the fundamental elements of logic without God, they cannot tell us why we must be logical. Rather than support the unbeliever in their denial of God, we must show them that their very denial uses logic and therefore assumes that God exists. Yes, we as Christians can answer the objections to our faith, but without challenging the unbeliever to give an account of the logic they use in their objections, we lose the argument before we start.

In the comment section to this video, I wish to challenge those who deny God, to give an account for the logic they are using in that denial. If you are an unbeliever and you wish to comment on this video, please first tell us, how you account for the universal, immaterial, invariant laws of logic according to your worldview. In other words, please tell us how you can know anything to be universally true, how immaterial laws can exist, and on what basis you assume that they are unchanging? In order to avoid blurring the issue, all posts which do not address that question will be deleted.

Of course since Christians can account for logic, questions and comments from you are always welcome.

Proof that God exists Part 1.

I recently asked this simple question. "Can a strictly material, naturalistic world account for immaterial, universal, and unchanging truths?"

I was actually shocked at the results. Here they are:
Yes - 36%
No - 46%
I don't like the Question - 7%
I didn't understand the Question - 8%

Now I have to ask, How can this be that 36% of the individuals could say outright, "Yes" a strictly materialistic worldview can account for this?

Here is a little video that we did that might help you understand what I am talking about.

The simple truth is that Logic, Science and Morality are only consistant with the God of the Bible and can not be accounted for with a strictly materialistic worldview.

You may remember back in May I wrote a blog about the existence of God called "Does God Exist?" In that blog I referred to the website www.proofthatgodexists.org. My guest for this show was the author and editor of this website Sye TenBruggencate. Sye, thanks for being willing to come down and hang out in FL for the week man!

Debate at American River College in CA

I had the opportunity to participate in a debate at American River College in Sacramento, CA this past spring. I enjoyed the debate very much. My original opponent, Charles, backed out of the debate because I was unwilling to go to a bank and withdraw $250,000 in cash to bring to the debate so that he could prove evolution and win the CASH! Because of this we were going to just set up in the "Quad" at the school and open air speak for about an hour. One of the students at the college was my driver for the weekend and asked his former teacher if he would debate me in place of Charles. After a brief introduction, Frank became my new opponent.

With more than 400 students standing around us we took turns with several 5 min rounds before taking on questions from the audience. I will be going back to Sacramento on December 6,7,8, to speak in more churches and hopefully participate in 2 more debates! Looking forward to this.

I received a DVD of the debate in the mail a few days ago and thought that I would share it with you. Enjoy!

Happy Veterans Day!

Got into a little discussion on Facebook about war by making this statement, "Just watched a PBS special on war monuments from around the world, very moving. In war there are no "winners", unless you count the bankers!"

As the thread developed, one of my friends said this, "Eric? Where do you weigh in? I never knew you were anti-war."

Here was my response.

Both of my Grandfathers fought in wars. Neither could bring themselves to share with me the unspeakable things they saw. Those memories had to die when they died. I support our troops 100% and always try to thank those who serve our country proudly! As a teen I considered, with a friend of mine, going into the military; God had other plans.

Just to clarify what I was talking about let me take a moment!

While I was watching a PBS special on the war memorials around the world, I could not help but think of who the actual winners were in a war. When you see footage of both American and foreign troops being bombed from above and cut down by machine gun fire ahead, while trying to storm hills, invade beaches, and gain ground, a myriad of emotions go through your mind. As they told the number of lives lost at each battle, it reminded me that in war, nobody wins! We loose lots of lives, they loose lots of lives. Obviously there is a "victor" but nobody "wins". War is not a one on one gamble with the victor taking all and the looser walking away with nothing. In war, even the victor looses something!

The only real “winner” who did not loose anything is the person who financed one or both sides of the war. The Bankers! The money that is used to fight a war is vaporized! It is NOT like borrowing money to buy an asset that will be sold at a later date. War forces citizens to borrow money that has to be repaid with interest with nothing left at the end. All the tanks, ships, ammo, and gear is useless after the war is over. Sure it stimulates the economy, but it is a false stimulation that the taxpayer himself is paying for!

Cost of WW1 – 22.6 billion (1915 dollars) which is the same as 470 billion dollars today!
Cost of WW2 – 288 billion (1945 dollars) which is the same as 3.4 trillion dollars today!

You might say that it was a semantics issue because of my 140 character limit on twitter, but I still say that in war, there are no “winners”, except the bankers.

Lives lost in WW1 – estimates are between 9 and 16 million
Lives lost in WW2 – estimates are between 50 to 70 million

Is war right or wrong? Well the Bible teaches that we should defend ourselves! War of aggression bad, war of defense good!

I am not against war in itself as a defense, but I still hate it when it comes to that.

Health Care

We're going to pass a health care plan written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it;
 passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it;
 signed by a president that also hasn't read it, and who smokes;
with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes;
 overseen by a surgeon general who is obese; and
 financed by a country that's nearly broke.
What possibly could go wrong?

America, your about to get the judgement that you deserve!

God has Provided!

Attention ATHEISTS!

Attention Atheists, I need your help!

As someone who has given his life to Christ and is now experiencing that wonderful thing we call a "personal relationship" with God I can't help but try to tell others about it. It is easy to show people that they are sinners and that they deserve to pay the penalty for their sin or find someone else to pay it for them, then introduce them to Jesus Christ who died 2000 years ago in order to do just that, but I desire more of a challenge than that. (run-on I know) Obviously you seem to be the most difficult people to reach, lol, but for me that just makes me more determined than ever to reach you, all the while knowing that it is only the Holy Spirit that will "reveal" Himself to you, I can't really do that.

Now I know that I will never "Argue" over the wall you have built up against God in your mind, but I wondered if it might be able to shrink a bit. Just enough to allow God, if he exists, to peek over and reveal himself to you on His terms, not yours.

Let's start with an intro video that was done about a 17 year old boy that gave God one last chance to show up and prove that He existed, and God did not take that chance.

To me that was a fascinating concept. I mean, come on, we all doubt right? Every single one of us would have to admit that we wonder sometimes whether or not we are right or wrong. No matter how much confidence we display there is something in us that makes us ask the question, "what if I am wrong"?

Here is where I would like Atheists to do something! You can chalk this up as being in a research project for Eric Hovind if you want and if you want to dismiss it all at the end that is fine, but I wonder if you would be willing to take 1.5 hours out of your life to check out a series called "It's Personal"? This 3 part series is available to watch for free online at www.northpoint.tv. I enjoyed the approach that the speaker took in this series and would really like to have feedback from Atheists concerning this approach. ie..what are you thinking?

If you are willing to take me up on this little experiment, I will be willing to give you a free, autographed copy, (probably decreases the value) of the new DVD series "Beginnings" that will be available in 3 weeks at www.drdino.com. I am excited about our new small group curriculum "Beginnings". We know that when people come to Christ, it is because they surrender themselves to the God that made them. But many times one of the obstacles to people coming to Christ is their intellect, especially when it comes to the Creation VS Evolution debate. Urgent Message

On Thursday, July 28, 2009, a federal judge gave the United States Government permission to seize ministry property as a substitute for payment of fines (not tax related) imposed upon Dr. Kent Hovind. God Gets The Glory

I have read many atheists* comments and thoughts on prayer. To most atheists prayer is a joke at best, a toss of a coin. Knowing that whatever the outcome we will still give glory to God makes the atheist believe that prayer exists only in the figment of our imagination. God gives us one of three answers when we pray, "Yes," "No," or "Not Now." To the atheist those answers fit any question you could ever bring up to God and therefore are not real answers.

It's kind of like evolution and science! Have you ever noticed that evolution fits any landscape that science comes up with? It is like a fog that just fills in the voids. No matter what kind of evidence we find, evolution can conform to fit it. When fresh dinosaur bones are discovered, evolution adjusts and shifts to fit in the new evidence. Evolutionists faith in evolution is so strong that no matter what the evidence, in their mind, evolution will always be true. Just as my faith in God is so strong that no matter what the answer to prayer I will still believe in God!

Here is the difference between the two. God is real! Evolution is a joke. I am not just making those claims based on ignorance, there is so much evidence to show that there is a designer, a creator, a maker, and a sustainer for life. Yet we have no evidence whatsoever that life evolved over billions of years from a single celled organism to more complex multi-celled organism. I have faith in God because of the evidence, Evolutionists have faith despite the evidence.

The real test of faith and evidence comes from those who have truly encountered God. Like this email I just got from someone who has had colon cancer and now found out that he has stage 4 liver cancer.

Here was his prayer:
"that God be honored and glorified no matter the outcome of my situation; I truly am at peace with whatever He wants and has in store for me; after all, He knew before I was created what was going to happen to my life. We also claimed "God is good" after my first bout...guess what...He still is! and He loves just the same. For some reason, I can feel it even more though now."

Can you tell that this person has discovered what life is all about? He knows that life is not about our comfort, or our glory, but about God receiving the glory for everything! On the prayer note, when you study it out, prayer is more about us getting in line with what God wants first before we go and start asking for things. (Matt 6:6-16) Just didn't know if you already knew that.

I wish atheists would pray this prayer:

"Holy Spirit, If your real, open my eyes to you."

I can't help but believe that if you really prayed that, it would be answered.

*Atheists really don't exist, they are Agnostics, but I refer to them as Atheists so they know who I am talking to.

Is Ida the Missing Link?

With nothing more than hyper sensationalism, Ida came to the forefront of the world’s attention as a catalyst to revive and stimulate the dying museum economy. Here is a little video to give you just a hint of what it is all about.

Now, I know that evolutionists will claim that any fossil you find is a "transitional form" of some kind. All this really means is that no matter what fossil you find, it will always be a missing link; because all "species" are in a continual state of change.

When we stop and think about what the evolution worldview is doing, it is really simple. They are arranging fossils in an order that makes them look like a sequence. That is no different than if I line up a series of rings from small to large to say that one evolved from the other. I can come up with all kinds of reasons to support my theory too! I can reason that based on shape, color, size, even chemical makeup, all of which would make sense if I already believe that one evolved from the other. I would be looking for proof to support my theory instead of looking at facts and drawing conclusions.

In an evolutionist’s mind, evolution is already true—not because the evidence supports it, but because it is what they want to believe. Now, all they need to do is find the evidence to support it. II Peter 3:3-7 tells us why—they desire to walk after their own lusts!

On the last post, "Q" spelled it out very clearly: "I enjoy my lifestyle of sin." Well then Q, you will reap the results of it. Indeed sin is fun, but only for a season, Hebrews 11:25, but in the end it brings forth death, James 1:15.

Monster Quest looks for a Dinosaur

Just got off the phone with William Gibbons, co-author with Dr. Hovind of the book "Claws Jaws and Dinosaurs". He just got back from an expedition to Cameroon where he has found some very promising results in the search for the elusive "Mokele-Mbembe", an apatosaurus type dinosaur that supposedly lives there in the swamps. We also discussed the possibility of having Creation Science Evangelism take an expedition to the swamps in late November. The cost for a 5 man trip including interpreter, travel guide and airfare would be around $12,000 for a 3 week trip. I was amazed that a trip like that could be done for such a reasonable price. Please pray with us about the possibility of taking that trip.

Monster Quest took Bill Gibbons on this expedition to see what they could find, however Bill said that it was the wrong time of year to go over there. You have to go toward the end of the wet season because that is when the animals are in a "feeding frenzy" before the dry season comes and hibernation of some kind takes place. Bill has been going to the Congo and Cameroon since 1984 and is taking over all the research that Dr. Roy Mackal (author of the book "A Living Dinosaur") has been doing over his lifetime.

National Geographic goes Creation?

I just had to let you see this video from the National Geographic. Finally someone is being intellectually honest and presenting the truth! The video describes the problem that geologists have with the formation of the Colorado River. How did it form?

When you watch this video, it makes you realize that 2 Peter 3:5-6 is so true! People looking at the evidence and saying that the flood did not occur are truly willingly ignorant!

I think that this video would have gone perfectly with our post on the Grand Canyon!

Fresh Water Flood

RedBarchetta was asking some questions about the flood. Here are a few quick responses.

Q#1 – “If the planet was deluged with fresh water, to the depth of approx 35,000 feet(the approx height of mt Everest)or even 16,946 feet the height of Mt Ararat, how did the salt water species of fish, sharks and aquatic mammals survive?”

A#1 – This question assumes that Mt Everest was a mountain before the flood. Mt Everest was created during the flood when the mountains rose up and the valleys sank down. (Psalms 104:8) So no the water did not have to be 35,000 feet deep. Right now there is enough water on the surface of the earth to cover it 2 miles deep if the earth were smooth. So yes the water covered all the high hills like the Bible says, but no, it did not have to cover Mt Everest because it had not yet been created.

The second half of your question assumes that there were salt water species of fish, sharks, and aquatic mammals. Today the oceans are 3.6% salt. With the hydrologic cycle the oceans could easily go from fresh water to 3.6% salt in less than 5,000 years. The animals can adapt to a little bit of salt in the water over that amount of time no problem. So the animals that were in the flood were all fresh water animals. Today there is a distinction that was not needed before the flood, ie. fresh water and salt water.

Q#2 – Did Noah have a floating aquarium large enough to contain a pair of blue whales at the very least?
A#2 – No

Q#3 – Did the massive amounts of fresh water dilute the salt water oceans, did it float on top of the salt water?
A#3 – No, there were no salt water oceans before the flood.

Q#4 – Did the salt water species evolve to cope with the altered salinity of the oceans?
A#4 – No, Fresh water animals have adapted, (I would not use the word evolved because of the assumptions that word brings up) to Salt in the water not the other way around. All the water use to be fresh, now the oceans are 3.6% salt and the animals have slowly, over 4,400 years, adapted to the salt in the water.

Q#5 – How did the freshwater species cope with salt water in their habitats?
A#5 – They did not have to.

Q#6 – How did coral survive the deluge of freshwater?
A#6 – Interestingly enough, the oldest coral reef in the world is the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia. When measurements are done on the rate of growth, and the size of the reef, it is calculated to be 4,200 years old. This fits perfectly with the Biblical world view of the flood that occurred 4,400 years ago!

When we see the world from the right perspective it all makes sense.

Can Creationists understand Science?

After reviewing several comments I have come to the conclusion that in the minds of some people one can not understand science if they do not accept evolution. This of course is absurd as most branches of science were started by individuals who believed in Creation.

A Pastor and an Agnostic, In Church!

My Cousin Chad is a pastor in Cincinnati Ohio and I have always loved his approach when it comes to discussing the Creation Evolution topic. Over the past two weeks Chad has invited an agnostic to come discuss his descent from religion and Christianity with the congregation at Horizon Community Church. I love the approach and open conversation that happened there. I wish that we could have more civil conversations like this.

In these talks we discover that what is even better than having great questions is having great answers!

I would encourage each of you to take the time to listen to these conversations! They were very enlightening!

The first week they discussed the concept of evil and pain in the world, then moved on to the question, "Why aren't evil doers stopped or judged by a good God?"

The second week the conversation addressed questions from the audience including what it means to take the Bible literally and addressed the issue of hell. This conversation is so important because of our last blog and the comments on it about whether we should take the Bible as literal. You will enjoy this.

These were great conversations! I was very pleased with Steve, the agnostic, as he brought up genuine issues and concerns about the Christian faith. I have no doubt that both Christians and non-Christians will enjoy these conversations.

Science, Evolution and the Bible

There seems to be a major misunderstanding when it comes to the Bible and Science. I have read many postings that imply that Science and the Bible do not agree. This is nonsense. Science and the Bible agree perfectly. They can coexist in perfect harmony and not have a thing to worry about! The real issue is whether the Bible and Evolution agree. BTW, When I say Evolution, I am not talking about Micro or Horizontal changes within Kinds. I am referring to the idea that all life today shares a common ancestor 3.5 billion years ago.

I can not believe how many evolutionists have posted that you can believe in God and believe in evolution. NO, NO, NO. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Bible and the concept of Evolution do not agree!

Evolutionists would you admit to that?

Evolutionists and Atheists, you can even help me out with this one!

On Thursday Kyle and I were in Panera Bread eating lunch and we struck up a conversation about theistic evolution with a young lady that went to college with Kyle. She said that whether God used evolution or not to create the world did not really matter because at least she believed in God. As Kyle and I spoke to her she began to realize why this topic is so important. We explained that:

The credibility of Genesis is at stake.
The credibility of Jesus is at stake. He quoted Genesis 25 times and even referred to Adam and Eve as literal people that were made "at the beginning". Matt 19:4, Mark 10:6
The credibility of all of scripture is now at stake if we can not trust the words of Christ.
Now the doctrine of Salvation would be at stake too!

Fundamentally, where the rubber meets the road I have talked with hundreds of people who have lost their faith in the Bible and become atheists because of the theory of evolution. Evolutionists don't need God!

Here's where I need help! In a few weeks I will be on TBN with Hugh Ross and Carl Baugh. We will be discussing Theistic Evolution so I am doing more research and I am trying to get a list of why this issue is so important.

I need sound bites! Short, sweet, to the point questions and statements to use during this interview. If you got any advice, leave a comment with your suggestion please!

The new Florida Science standards passed by the State Board of Education in 2008 say that: "The scientific theory of evolution is the fundamental concept underlying all of biology."

There was a huge argument in Tallahassee when these new science standards were passed last year and the big argument came down to whether we call evolution a theory or not. One group said that it is fact and should no longer be called a theory. I have a little bit of a different take on the argument.

Here's the problem, we keep calling evolutionism a theory when really it is still just a hypothesis. You see, here's a picture showing how it is suppose to work in Science.

The concept of evolution has never gotten passed the Hypothesis stage. If you think it has, then you're probably confused about the definition of evolution. See my blog "Is Evolution part of Science" to help see it more clearly. "Evolution" in the first five definitions has never been able to make it past a simple guess, or hypothesis and therefore does not deserve the honor of even being called a theory!

Micro-evolution does not necessarily lead to Macro-evolution. Another way to say that is to think of Micro-evolution as horizontal changes between a kind and Macro-evolution as vertical changes to a different kind. No amount of horizontal change will lead to a vertical change. Dogs will always produce dogs. It may be a big dog or a little dog, but it will always be a dog!

So, the hypothesis of evolutionism is a faith based religious world view!

I just love it when people ignore the obvious. It is called evolutionism because it is a religion! Now go ahead and make fun of me with ad-hominem attacks and call me an ignoramus, however look at the facts and you will see the truth. Evolutionism is a religious world view.

According to wikipedia:
Evolutionism refers to doctrines of evolution, specifically to a widely held 19th century belief that organisms are intrinsically bound to improve themselves, and that changes are progressive and arise through inheritance of acquired characters, as in Lamarckism.

According to Dictionary.com evolutionism is:
1. A theory of biological evolution, especially that formulated by Charles Darwin.
2. Advocacy of or belief in biological evolution.

Evolutionism is actually a religious world view that interprets the world through the lens of Evolution. It is an ...ism because it is a religion.

Let me define religion before you pull your hair out.

Religion: a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe.

The religious world view of origin based on the evolution model is just one of the two world views you can have. You can "believe" someone made the universe, or you can "believe" the universe made itself, either way their both religious world views as they both discuss the "cause" "nature" and "purpose" of the universe!

If your interested in truth, it is this. God made the world, redeemed it by sending His own son to die for the sins of the world. Now all we need to do is repent and trust in Christ for salvation. I encourage you to do that soon. You may not have much time left.

Welfare

I had previously posted a poem entitled "Welfare Poem". Apparently people confused my posting of this poem as evidence of me being a racist, for that I apologize. In the mind of one that is NOT a racist, you would take that poem as a simple dislike for lazy people who USE the government, do not work, and expect to get paid for doing nothing.

I believe that evolutionism is the real explanation for racism. It is amazing to see the comments of evolutionists accusing me of being a racist when in reality evolutionists have the world view that would lead to that.

As a Christian I realize that all people are originally of one nation and one blood. It would be incredibly hypocritical of me to be both a Christian and a racist!

Begging?

One of the founding principles of our ministry is that we will not beg for money. If God wants to provide, he will provide. We have been blessed to watch Him provide time and time again, and for that we are thankful. I have to say that personally I have had a hard time over the years discerning between the fine line of begging for money and voicing a need. I just got a message on Facebook tonight that made it more clear to me which is which. Here's what it said:

Hey Eric,
I know you are VERY busy... My Mom is super stressed about Heidi. Apparently the flea treatment she put on her a while back did not work, and now Heidi has chewed herself up. My mom picked up some flea treatment for her yard that needs to be spread. Is there any chance that someone around there might be able to take a few minutes to do that for her?
My Mom hates to ask anyone to do things for her, except her family, and it is hard to get over there all the time.
I told her it wouldn't hurt just to ask, but she won't.
If anyone can help, that would be great; if not, we'll work something out.

That was it; that was my answer! It is not begging to let someone know about a need! If Dove had not sent that message, I would have never known about the need. I am so glad that she asked because now I know of a way that I can be a blessing to my neighbor and I know it will be a joy for me to do it!

It is far from done, but I wanted you to get a sneak peek and help me out with something. We have been sitting on this idea for about five years, and now I'm thinking it's time to make it happen! This site will be a great resource to help creationists find neat ministries around the world that demonstrate the truth of God's creation with theme parks, museums, science centers, safaris, and so much more! Our site features a map with all of these really cool hot spots marked, and a profile for each ministry, with descriptions, operating hours, contact info, etc. I never realized how many creation destinations there were right here in North America!

Is Evolution part of Science?

Semantics is a big issue in the Creation-Evolutionism debate. For example, the word "evolution" can be used several different ways and have several different meanings.

That is what episode #4 of Creation Minute is all about. When people see the differences in the types of evolution, I believe that it will solve the whole "Does evolution happen?" debate.

1. Cosmic Evolution—the origin of time, space, and matter from nothing in the big bang
2. Chemical Evolution—the origin of all 92 elements from hydrogen
3. Stellar Evolution—the formation of stars and galaxies from gas clouds
4. Organic Evolution—the origin of life from non-living chemicals
5. Macroevolution—the changing of one kind of plant or animal into another kind of plant or animal
6. Microevolution—changes within the same kind—like wolves, coyotes, and dogs being related to a common ancestor (Only this one is real science. The first five are never observed—only believed. They are part of religion, not science.)

Evolutionists claim that macroevolution is just microevolution over a long period of time; however, this has never been observed, tested, or demonstrated. You're welcome to believe that happened, but don't call it science.

My Dad's new book, Help I'm Being Taught Evolution is a great book on this. Also, his booklet Are You Being Brainwashed discusses 20 different lies in the textbooks that need to be addressed.

Students continue to be duped into believing in evolutionism because terms are not clearly defined. In Seminar #4, Lies in the Textbook, we tackle this same issue head on! Kids deserve to know the truth, and the truth is this:

Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10-18, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13

Please, don't be deceived any longer, repent and trust in Christ today!

Evolutionists and the Grand Canyon!

Two weeks ago I flew from Dallas, Texas to Sacramento, California on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Halfway through the flight we went directly over the Grand Canyon. As I looked out of the window, I was even able to see the spot where I went on a helicopter tour with my Dad, my wife, and my oldest daughter! That whole landscape was absolutely breathtaking! It is amazing, how can anyone look at that landscape and not see the evidence of Noah's flood? In 2 Peter 3:5-7, the Bible says people will be willingly ignorant of the Creation, the flood, and the coming judgment of God.

We produced a Creation Minute episode called "Grand Canyon" that was released two weeks ago, and boy are the comments flying in from the evolutionists.

Ranson said, "Umm...wow. I can't...wow...that's too dumb to respond to."

Astrounit said, "And oh, boy, is Eric Hovind's latest argument a winner: the current level of the Colorado River is several thousand feet lower than the peak elevations of the Grand Canyon, therefore the river must have flowed uphill to cut the canyon when it was formed."

No, no, no, Astrounit, you missed the point completely! Watch this video again then I will try to elaborate.

Let's point out some facts, then draw some conclusions.

Fact #1 The Top of Grand Canyon is higher than the bottom.
Fact #2 The Colorado River runs through the bottom.
Fact #3 The Colorado River enters the Canyon at 2800 feet above Sea level.
Fact #4 The Colorado River exits the Canyon at 1800 feet above Sea level.
Fact #5 As the Colorado River flows downhill, the ground around it rises uphill.

Conclusion: The Grand Canyon was formed when a large post flood lake breached the top of the current Grand Canyon and eroded a canyon very rapidly. Now the Colorado River is flowing in the bottom, but it did not form the entire canyon. If the Colorado River formed the Grand Canyon over millions of years, it would have had to flow uphill. My point is that it did not happen that way!

For about 100 years scientists believed that Laramide Orogeny would account for the difference in the land level and the river level, however further research has shown that this can not be true. One logical conclusion would be that there was a massive flood, perhaps worldwide, and this is what formed the canyon. This view makes a lot more sense and goes along with the facts that we see.

If you think that judgment was bad, just wait until he comes and judges the world again. The next one will be with fire! I hope your ready. If not, you might want to take this test.

Are You a Good Person?

No Offspring, but Still the Missing Link?

Truth about Darwinius maxillae, aka Ida:
1. It is not "a" or "the" missing link.
2. It is a lemur-like animal.
3. It is a piece of evidence that both sides can use to support their views.
Evolutionism: It is a piece of the fossil record.
Creation: It is evidence of the world wide flood.
4. If this was the "proof" of evolutionism, then we have been lied to for a long time through scientists' claims that evolutionism has already been proven!
5. If it were a "link," it would be the last one in the chain because it did not have any babies!
6. Most "learned" evolutionists realize the truth about Ida, but don't mind the media hype as long as it gets evolutionism some attention. Even though the media is getting the facts all wrong, it is getting the job done and that is what counts.
7. It is pure sensationalism, much like the Virgin Mary on a piece of toast.
Here we look at the fossil remains of an animal that has died. In an article by Steve Connor of the Independent News, Ida was supposedly only 9 months old when she died, so she would not have had time in her short life to have any children! And this is a missing link? It didn't even pass on offspring! It can't be a "link". Hello world, are we grasping at straws in an attempt to "finally" prove evolutionism and raise interest in ticket sales at the museums during a bad economy or what?

Now, I know that the evolutionists will make fun of this argument and say that Ida represents a population not an individual. I understand that. Creationists would even assume that based on scripture because the Bible tells us that animals bring forth after their "KIND"! Gen 1:21, 24, 25. So the point is that whatever this was, a lemur or a variation of that, it could never "bring forth" anything other than its own kind! That is what we see happening today, and we must assume it was the same for the fossils we find!

Of course my Dad's Seminar #2 covers the idea of missing links the best, but other books that deal with this subject are: Bones of Contention, and Buried Alive. Both are books that CSE proudly offers at lower prices than others do, like most of our resources!

Just had to do a little test to see which is better. Right now our Creation Minute website is using Blip to show our Creation Minute videos, however we are not thrilled with the quality that people are getting. All that effort to make them HD and now people will have to wait to get the blue ray disc before they can enjoy our efforts. There is another player called Vimeo that allows you to upload HD videos and play them on your website instead.

Doctors VS. Guns

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000..

(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171 (17%).

Guns

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million !)

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

It is a question that has been asked for centuries. Yet God never bothered to answer this question in His word. Obviously because He felt that His existence was kind of a given! I mean, how else did it get here? Duh!

Whether we look at archeology, astronomy, fossils, or even systems and information, we see the hand of God. I believe that is why God said people would be without excuse for not believing in Him.

Our ministry offers a book called, The Big Argument: Does God Exist? and I have to say that whether you're a theist, agnostic, or a supposed atheist, this book is a great read!

I have also been reading the work of Dr. Greg Bahnsen and was alerted by an atheist twitter about a website called proof that God exists. www.proofthatgodexists.org When you get right down to it, he hits the nail on the head. You can prove the existence of God by the impossibility of the contrary. I enjoyed his notes to those who do not believe in laws of logic, mathematics, science, and absolute morality. It is a simple site that guides a thinking person to TRUTH using simple logic and reason. Let me know what you think of the site after you go through it. Here is one of his responses to someone who does not believe in the laws of mathematics:

Laws of Mathematics Do Not Exist?

If you believe that laws of mathematics do not exist, what would you do in the following scenario? Let's say that you walked into a bank and asked for change for a $100 bill. If the teller handed you only 2 $5 bills would you be satisfied with his or her personal interpretation of mathematics or would you appeal to a universal law of mathematics to show that he/she was wrong? I suspect the latter.

You see, you deny that laws of mathematics exist, yet you use them all the time. Unless you reconsider your position on this matter, your road to this site's proof that God exists ends here. It is my prayer that you come to understand how irrational and inconsistent this way of thinking is and return to seek the truth.

My visit with Dad.

My Dad is an amazing man with an unbelievable mind! God has also gifted my Dad with the ability to teach. He is so good at giving an analogy or breaking things down to simple concepts so that anyone can understand it. My 6 year old just loves sitting and learning from Grandpa! I still love learning from him through his letters, phone calls and especially when I get to visit him. My family had the opportunity this past weekend to travel up to Edgefield South Carolina and hang out with him on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We got to talk about all kinds of stuff including eternal security, the gifts of the spirit, the end times, the 1000 year reign of Christ, eternity, Bible versions, debating professors and the challenges of being a leader and the pressures that brings. It is fun to discuss these things with someone that has a brilliant mind like my Dad. Pick a topic and away we go.

One of the intriguing things we discussed was the doctrine of kingdom-accountability, or Kingdom-exclusion. It is addressed in a book called, "The Rod: Will God Spare It?" In this book J.D. Faust discusses the idea of temporary punishment for unfaithful Christians at the Judgment Seat of Christ and during the Millennial Kingdom. When my Dad first told me about this book and the premise behind it, I was more than a little concerned about the doctrine. It sounded a little like the catholic doctrine of purgatory to me and it was definitely outside of what I had learned growing up. After talking to my Dad for a while about it, I am looking forward to reading the book and seeing what I think about it.

Or, if your really cool, you can have the author write you a letter and send you a copy of the book, like Dr. Faust did for me!

I am looking forward to learning about this doctrine and discovering for myself the truth about these views! I am interested in truth, wherever that leads, and whatever the consequences.

As I was driving home yesterday from the visit, we came to a stand still on I-85 for a full hour. We were about 5 hours into the trip at this point and thankfully the kids were entertained by the movie Lassie so they did not mind too much. Come to find out there was a fatal accident about a mile ahead of where we were stopped. The car involved looked like it had been shoved in between the front of one semi truck into the back of another. As I drove past, there was a sobering moment where I pondered the thought of someone receiving a phone call about a mom, dad, brother or sister not coming home from the weekend. It made me very thankful for life and for the extra day that God has granted me to study, and serve Him.

Today, I pray that I will be a leader worth following just in case it is my last.

Dr. Greg Bahnsen is an amazing debater and an expert at "hanging the atheist with his own rope". I hope that you will learn to defend your faith as God commands us to in I Peter 3:15.

I love this point that Bahnsen makes:

"Arguments over conflicting presuppositions between world views, therefore, must be resolved somewhat differently, and yet still rationally, from conflicts over factual existence claims within a world view or system of thought. When we go to look at the different world views that atheists and theists have, I suggest we can prove the existence of God from the impossibility of the contrary. The transcendental proof for God's existence is that without Him it is impossible to prove anything. The atheist world view is irrational and cannot consistently provide the preconditions of intelligible experience, science, logic, or morality. The atheist world view cannot allow for laws of logic, the uniformity of nature, the ability for the mind to understand the world, and moral absolutes. In that sense the atheist world view cannot account for our debate tonight. "
