I am excited that Creation Science Evangelism has been invited to partner with Living Waters to lead a team to one of the top 50 universities in America in order to pass out 1000 copies of the "Origin of Species". This special 150th anniversary edition has a 50 page forward by Ray Comfort that shows the problems of evolution, the connection that Hitler had with evolution, and a clear Gospel Message.
Here Kirk and Ray explain what is happening!
If you would like to help us with this project, please let us know by emailing questions@drdino.com. If you are outside our area but would like to help in another area, please visit LivingWaters.com
You may also email Tony Miano at tony@livingwaters.com to volunteer your help at another university!

*gasp* Darwin held views that were typical of the 19th Century? He was a flawed individual? Next thing you're going to tell me that he was wrong in some of his theories.
NewsFlash: This doesn't make the Theory of Evolution any less true. It's validity has nothing to do with the original author. It could have been written by a mass murder pedophile, but if the Theory stands up to as many experiments as Evolution has it's legit. It has grown larger and smarter since Darwin first penned it.
Quit banging the "Darwin wasn't perfect" drum, it's boring. Go back to inventing science that shows the world is 6000 years old, it's more entertaining.
I think this is a good idea. It will give students a talking point to be able to discuss just how badly wrong the creationist attacks are against Darwin and would give professor's a chance (not during normal lectures) to discuss the incorrectness of the creationist position should anybody wish to talk about these matters outside of normal time!
I agree Eric, the belief's of the discovery of the theory (although creationists greatly misrepresent him) does not invalidate the evidence in any way. If newton had been a paedophile, would that invalidate Gravitational Theory (and yes, it's a theory, but that's another subject)
What if a printed a Bible with a forward saying things like "Hitler was a Christian, this book contains nonsense like talking snakes and talking donkeys, scenes of genocide, etc etc"?
I find it amazing that those who claim to be on the side of Truth are the ones most willing to be dishonest to further their worldview.
There is nothing on the cover to indicate that this is anything other than a copy of Origins...
The 'Intro' by Ray replaces Darwin's own introduction and there are three chapters missing from the book.
That's even before you get to the lies and distortions found in the introduction itself.
Really, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
Regards,
Yes when Ray published this book online there were 200 pages missing.
Plus he is using the first edition when Darwin revised and expanded it including adding a chapter in later editions.
Why would you need to hide the contents Eric?
You getting anywhere with an actual rebuttal to the ExtantDodo's Hovindism of the Week series?
Sorry, haven't taken the time to watch any of ExtantDodo's videos.
Eric:
Just take one vid critical of you or your dad. Reply to it. A nice full post. You can even split it up into multiple posts, and only examine say 5 minutes of a video. This would show that you're at least attempting to address criticism.
BathTub, are you getting paid to advertise Dodo's videos? I mean, there are plenty of videos attacking Kent, Eric, and their position. If there's something specific you want discussed, just bring it here. He can't possibly respond to every single video that criticizes CSE.
If he would pick apart one of these videos point by point, and defend his position, would it change your mind in any way? If not, there's no point to it.
Gee Chris, maybe that's why I am not asking him to?
My question essentially boils down to 'Are you trying to talk to me, or are you just selling to the converted?'
He can go on as he is, repeating the standard lines preaching to the churches and selling tokens to the converted. Everyone gets to pat themselves on their backs. 'Look at us! We are Sciencical!'
Or are you trying to connect with the unbelievers who think you wouldn't know Science if it jumped out behind you and yelled Boo!
If you are, then act like it.
The ExtantDodo's are just a very well presented example of the, yes many, videos that refute what Kent Hovind has said. So what I am saying is that if Eric is really trying to convince me that he's got science behind what he says then start responding to them, and his videos should be up to the same standards.
Or go on selling to churches with lines like 'Darwin was a doody head, therefore Evilution is Wrong!' which is what is currently going on.
I couldn't help but laugh at Kirk describe the percentages. Recent ARIS and Gallup polls show that less than 5% of the US population considers itself non-religious. Christian still comprise higher than 80% and we're supposed to believe they are being oppressed! OMG!!!!!
The book exposes hoaxes and other baloney that Creationists pulled out of their ears. It exposes the fact that they think the Big Bang is part of evolutionary theory. It goes on to reveal that Creationists think Darwin's works had anything to do with how life began. Then some old lies and idiocies parroted over and over with a bunch of logical fallacy thrown in too.
The students aren't stupid. So the mission is to dumb them down!
Chris McGinnis...
ExtantDodos videos are released free from copyright and are released for profit. His videos are extremely well cited and very indepth. If you have a problem with the mention of ExtantDodo perhaps you would prefer videos from Thunderf00t (might sound familiar), AronRa, DonExodus or AndromedasWake.
Tom W...
Yes that would be awesome! Some good points. Hitler:
* was a Roman Catholic who professed his devotion to God throughout his published works
* was a devout creationist
* believed LaMark was right
* believed in the special creation of man
* denounced Darwin
* distributed list of publications which were to be destroyed which included Darwin's works
* ...lots more
BathTub you didn't answer my last question.
That's true I actually missed it on my read through.
If he did it, would it change my mind?
I guess the short answer is, I don't think he can.
Longer answer is I would start to take the Hovinds seriously and listen to what they had to say. As it is now no one who doesn't already believe has no reason to take them seriously.
Eric, I'm curious to know, why have you jumped into evangelical bed with Ray Comfort?
I mean, you are already carrying the burden of your Dad's incomplete grasp of science, but then you team up with Ray "Crocoduck" "Banana man" Comfort.
Sure, you may agree with his theology, but have you now given up trying to be all sciency? Will the word "Science" now be dropped from CSE?
A very non-committal answer. A "no" would have sufficed.
It was a completely honest answer Chris and that was not a 'No'
Chris I should also mention that I ask Eric about this because in a recent video he labelled himself a Researcher.
So I would like to see some of this 'research'.
A question for you Chris, why should anyone care if Darwin was Racist? Darwin was as Racist as Abraham Lincoln was. Seriously. But what does that have to do with the science? Martin Luther the guy who split the church away was very very racist. Do you see people trotting 'The Jews and their Lies' out that as an excuse to shut down all non-catholic churches?
Aaron, also recommend cdk007 particularly his Why Creationists Deny Gravity series. Potholer54debunks, isn't Eric up for a Golden Crocoduck? JRChadwick, ThetaOmega is a little rough around the edges but sill alright.
I saw an apparent mistake in my previous post and wanted to correct it before someone jumped all over it.
I wrote...
"ExtantDodos videos are released free from copyright and are released for profit."
That should have read "NOT RELEASED FOR PROFIT". They are completely free, gratis, whatever. Figured I'd correct that before someone got their panties in a knot.
I already subscribe to cdk007 and potholer and will check out the rest when I have some time.
I was not addressing the Darwin issue. I simply was responding to your constant promotion of dodo's videos. Seemed strange.
Just for the record, if you shut down all protestant and all Catholic churches, the Baptist church, the Amish, and Mennonites would still stand. But that is besides the point.
I'm still interested in your thoughts though. Or Eric's.
I mean there are plenty of interesting questions out there.
What is your take on the fact that Genetic Evidence has shown that Neanderthals were not human? How does that fit into the Creationists worldview?
Just for the record, if you shut down all protestant and all Catholic churches, the Baptist church, the Amish, and Mennonites would still stand. But that is besides the point.
1. Baptist is a denomination of Protestantism. So why wouldn't those churches be shut down?
2. The Amish and Mennonites are Anabaptists which is also Protestantism. Services are usually held in private homes so I guess they wouldn't notice a change.
3. So are we keeping all the Orthodox and Nontrinitarian churches then?
"Baptist is a denomination of Protestantism. So why wouldn't those churches be shut down?"
Actually Baptists also came from the Anabaptists, which came from Novations, Donatists, Monatists.
They are often referred to as protestant, but really have a different lineage that doesn't come through Luther at all.
Ok, I just watched Hovindism #1. Keeping myself awake for it was the most difficult. After that I thought, "This guy is missing the whole point."
The idea that evolution happened quickly because of the lack of evidence is stupid whether reading from Gould or someone else. No Hearing it from his on words does not make this sound more plausible. It is still arguing from the lack of evidence using your imagination as your guide!
More comments as I have time.
Ok, I just watched Hovindism #1. Keeping myself awake for it was the most difficult. After that I thought, "This guy is missing the whole point."
Oh, you're funny. psssht

I guess you really did keep nodding off. Was actual science too much for you? Was picking apart claim after claim and showing that you old man could even pass an elementary science class a little dull?
Let's ignore the numerous citations (those number things at the ends of sentences) and evidence presented in the video. Ignoring it doesn't make it go away. It seems you largely missed the point of the video.
Quite frankly when I see this type of response I get the urge to watch AronRa's "Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism" series (or the Creationism Junk Debunked videos by potholer54 on his potholer54debunks channel). Like BathTub I'd love to see your counter argument rather than the lame response you pulled out of your...ear.
After watching the little clip, it's hard to come away with much other than an intense dislike for Cameron. What an absolute SoB. It's just amazing that people on the Christian side of things see that and think it actually helps their cause.
Wow, congratulations on watching it.
I'm surprised you found your fathers material so sleep inducing! ;)
Of course the subject of #1 was The Definition of Evolution so you have to skip quite a bit to get to Gould. The point of number 1 is all the false definitions of Evolution that are presented.
Keeping myself awake for it was the most difficult.
Now you know how I felt in church when I was a kid (and forced to go).
Yes, Eric Hovind. The language of science is long and wordy. However, in all those words is something called substance.
It isn't that way to keep the uneducated from understanding it, though. Rather, it is to state explicit context that cannot be misunderstood or misinterpreted (unlike the bible and the "science sermons" from your father).
Secret Stash,
Thank you for using the word...ear! As I said, I will give more as I have time.
PS. Just because they have little numbers doesn't make what they say "the truth"!
Yeah actually it does mean they have evidence and "proof".
Even if you wanna completely deny and ignore it, it's still better than the pencil drawings your dad presented as evidence of a GIANT skeleton. If you want I can actually point you to the video and time stamp in which he tells the audience it's a photograph.
Just because they have little numbers doesn't make what they say "the truth"!
Would you like a shovel to help dig your head out of the sand?
Do you plan to provide counter arguments with actual science and citations? Perhaps you'll simply revert to deflection and avoidance like you did in your debate with Michael Shermer.
Start from the beginning Eric, how many dictionaries, other than ones made by yourself, define Evolution as 'The Big Bang'?
So Eric how do you feel about Ray Comfort not having an opinion about the age of the Earth and seeming not to care about it either?
He has been repeatedly asked if he believes the Earth is closer to 6000 years old ( as calculated by Bishp Ussher using the biblical genealogies) or 4.5 billion years old, as advocated by assorted methods used by science.
Should this sort of attitude be prevalent in a person teaching the Bible as the literal Word of God ? Not caring and having no opinion on such an important topic.
Hey Eric, Ray Comfort is now singing a new tune ....
Thanks to advice from Atheists and others, the new Introduction will address Darwin's "racism"--and how he was truly a gentle-man who was admantly against slavery.
And it will qualify his apparant denegration of women. Besides, the moral character of Charles Darwin is irrelevant to the Theory of Evolution, just as the Theory of Relativity should stand on its own merits, and not on the morality of Albert Einstein.
I will also make it clear that Hitler abused his theory, and is also irrelevant to whether or not it's true.
Will you being singing in harmony?
Eric I think it's important that you address this blasphemy, as your father would put it. The man you have been chumming up to is not even sure of the age of the earth when it clearly says it in the bible give or take 4000 years.
You have spent time with the man, even recently. Did you not try to save his soul?
Iago has paraphrased Ray even though his comment elicited the response (might I add with great effort to himself).
Since I cannot link here is the quote:
Ray Comfort said...
"Iago said...So Ray since you seem to be in a question answering frame of mind, how about this one...Do you believe that the Book of Genesis is a factual accoun of the creation of the Earth or is it metaphorical?"
Iago...factual, of course. I have no idea how old the earth is though. There are certain things of which I have no opinion. That's one of them. I hope you can accept that, and we can move on.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
September 18, 2009 6:57 AM
How can you claim the bible is factual and have no opinion about the age of the earth?
Your entire ministry is built on the age of the earth please reconcile this for me.
Should I pray that Ray will be saved and the true age of the earth should be revealed to him; So, that he does not perish and burn in eternal fire for the stumbling block that is the age of the earth. Has Ray's pride blocked God's word from his heart. Will God forgive a man who is so familiar with his word ,but does not have an "opinion" on something clearly stated and relied upon for dating things like dinosaur bones, calculating population, dating sedimentary rock, any obviously calculating moon dust?
More importantly he implies by this-that death could have occurred before the fall. Blasphemy.
Kirk says it pretty well. There's been a doubling of aetheism in the 19-25 year old age group. He whines that the Christian gospel is being pushed out of public places.
That is as it should be and will continue and progress.
There is obviously no discussion or convincing that has any effect on Christian fundamentalists. They are right -- but of course the majority of the world is wrong. There's not much point in arguing with them.
Christian fundamentalism will continue to decline as science and reason progress in this century and the US will catch up to our more enlightened brethren in the rest of the developed world.
"Should I pray that Ray will be saved and the true age of the earth should be revealed to him?"
First off, you shouldn't bother praying for anything other than salvation because in Proverbs 15:28&29 the Bible sys,
"The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous."
Secondly, there are many saved people who are misled or unwilling to believe 100% of the Bible. They shouldn't be, but they are. However, this has no bearing on their salvation. If a person believes on Jesus Christ for their salvation, thereby acknowledging that they are a sinner headed for Hell, only saved by the grace of God though the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, they are saved as any person on the planet. They can believe some pretty wacky things, and may have to answer for them, but their place in Heaven is not in danger.
Well Chris?
"What is your take on the fact that Genetic Evidence has shown that Neanderthals were not human? How does that fit into the Creationists worldview?"
While we wait for Eric to reply, or find a dictionary that defines Evolution as "The Big Bang".
If that question is too hard to either of you perhaps you would like to address the snake in china that was found with a leg and foot? Science has no problem with this, a switched off gene became switched on again, but how does that fit into the creationist worldview. Are snakes and lizards the same kind now?
"PS. Just because they have little numbers doesn't make what they say "the truth"!"
Eric, take the five minutes and look up the reference. Does it support the claim? Show us why it doesn't. This is what a real researcher does. Heck, people do this all the time with your dad's claims and references.
I am not an expert, and therefore was not going to bother with this, but I did check into it, and from what I have read, it seems they were indeed human, but just supposedly a different species of human. Similar to how a dog and a fox are different species of canines. If they are still humans, I'm not sure what the issue is.
Wow Chris.
"a different species of human."
Yes that's exactly the point. I'm floored you would say that quite frankly. You are happy with specialisation amongst the Homo Genus. Were they on the Ark?
"No, they proved 50 years ago it was an old man with arthritis."
'Neanderthals are perfectly normal humans living to 2-300 years old, that's who they are.'
I let you guess which who said those. (Hint: It's a Hovind)
Hovind Snr talking about Neanderthals
"The Neanderthals were perfectly normal humans. Their DNA was well within the span of human DNA today - plus or minus 4%" (Truth Radio - December 19 2003 @ 38:55)
Hovind Snr talking about humans and other apes
"They try to minimize [the difference between humans and apes], you know, 5% difference. "Its only 5%" Man, that's millions and millions of differences." (Truth Radio - July 8 2003 @35:10)
Double Think: the art of holding two contradictory views and believing both of them.
Chris, it goes without saying that you are not an expert in biology (as you misused the term species).
Perhaps you should stick to using the term "kind"?

So I can beleive that Jesus could transform into a giant robot in order to fight off Godzilla while shooting lasers from his eyes, just so long as I believe that he also the son of God and died on the cross for our sins, even though he could have totally stomped the entire Roman empire by himself since the Romans did not have giant robot technology to fend off the giant robot Jesus ?
I was trying to come up with something entirely wacky and the wackiest I could come up is Japanese giant robots, seems like everything over in Japan can transform into some form of giant robot and I am thinking maybe they got their inspiration from Jesus a long time ago, kinda like when Joseph Smith was inspired to wrtie the book of Mormon. Just instead of getting multiple wives they got giant robots. I think I could become a Christian if I could believe that Jesus was a giant robot able to beat Godzilla...
Ethinethin, you're right. And one look at even the computer generated images of neanderthal man (which I'm sure have taken much creative liberty) still leaves one with the automatic response, "That's a human." Seems like a non-issue to me.
I'm guessing simply because you don't understand the ramifications.
Where they on the Ark?
If not, do you believe in some sort of Super Evolution that creates new species incredibly fast off the Ark to account for all the different species of Hominid. And then they all died out just as fast? Or are all the fossils preflood? And did all these species of Hominid die off immediately after disembarking from the Ark leaving no modern trace like 99.9999% of all the animals that had to have been on the ark.
Or were these species of human not on the Ark?
That's just 3 of the options possible.
Believe it or not but Super Evolution is from Answers in Genesis.
By the way Dawkins new book "The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution" is available now in US bookstore. One arrived at my local shop yesterday.
Obviously I haven't read either his book or Ray Comfort's introduction to "Origin" but I know how the comparison will come out.
Ethinethin, you're right. And one look at even the computer generated images of neanderthal man (which I'm sure have taken much creative liberty) still leaves one with the automatic response, "That's a human." Seems like a non-issue to me.
Once again, you're clearly not an expert. Anatomically, Neandertals are not human. There are many noticeable differences with just a little observation -- primarily, a larger brain-case with a different configuration than humans. You can also notice other details, such as the complete lack of a chin, which all humans have, or the prominent, sloping brow, which no humans have.
Now it has been shown genetically, using mitochondrial DNA in genetic analysis of Neandertals, early anatomical humans, and modern humans, that modern humans are drastically different than Neandertals genetically while they are nearly identical to the earliest anatomical humans.
The Neandertals were not human, simply human-like. They shared a common ancestor, most likely Homo erectus, in an evolutionary split we call cladogenesis.
One simple question: who the **** is Ray Comfort, and what gives him the right to write an introduction for Origin?
For anyone who still thinks the Neanderthals were human, I would recommend LiveLeak's article called: "Neanderthal Man's DNA code cracked."
Genetic evidence is very well defined.
-Jacen
EVIDENCE!?!?!?! Creationists don't require evidence. Hell, most of them simply ignore it. If they can't do that they scream INTERPRETATION (or bias).
Carl Baugh is a great example. He had a display which he claimed were dinosaur claws. University of Texas at Austin paleontologist Wann Langston later identified them as crocodile teeth.
After reading Ray's forward I;m still not convinced that, as Eric Hovind put it, evolution was Hitler's religion.
So I've been trying to find some quote and passages that might help clear it up.
“The fox remains always a fox, the goose remains a goose, and the tiger will retain the character of a tiger.” - Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, vol. ii, ch. xi
Nope, that can't be it.
“For it was by the Will of God that men were made of a certain bodily shape, were given their natures and their faculties.” - Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, vol. ii, ch. x
Hmmm, nah
“From where do we get the right to believe, that from the very beginning Man was not what he is today? Looking at Nature tells us, that in the realm of plants and animals changes and developments happen. But nowhere inside a kind shows such a development as the breadth of the jump , as Man must supposedly have made, if he has developed from an ape-like state to what he is today.” - Adolf Hitler, Hitler’s Tabletalk (Tischgesprache im Fuhrerhauptquartier)
Well maybe it was just an inspired him to kill people. That must be it right!?!
“My feeling as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them.” - Adolf Hitler, speech, April 12 1922, published in My New Order
This is gonna be harder than I thought. Hey wait...this looks familiar....
“Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith … we need believing people.” - Adolf Hitler, Speech, April 26, 1933
As Kent would utter, "Whaa?"
All Ray did was do a word search on a particular translation of MK for the word 'evolution' and then grab those lines. Of course they aren't discussing biological evolution at all, but that doesn't stop Ray'
And Germans who will point out that it's just the word Develop badly translated.
And of course Ray forgets that the Nazi's banned Darwins work.

Those aren't from RC's forward. They are quotes and passages from Mein Kampf and other sources which I thought would be really funny to post.
I got a HUGE kick out of the quote about secular schools. So Eric, do you need help picking your jaw up from the floor?
And of course Ray forgets that the Nazi's banned Darwins work.
Guidelines from Die Bücherei 2:6 (1935), p. 279
Writings of a philosophical and social nature whose content deals with the false scientific enlightenment of primitive Darwinism and Monism.
From When Books Burn: List of Banned Books (just Google it)
"Those aren't from RC's forward"
Yeah I know, I was saying that is what Ray did in the foreword, because that's all he did.

LOL!
Comfort is a Kent Hovind wannabe!
People like Comfort and Eric have no advanced education and therefore have no clue how ignorant they are.
Eric. WHich uni will you personally be at?
RE: the new poll.
Eric, one of the choices is "your an idiot." Was this done intentionally?
Yes it was. Then he'll blog about the ad hominems. Of course he'll attribute them all to the atheists and evolutionists. The question itself is flawed. So technically the the ad hominem is the correct answer.
Sadly, Eric Hovind thinks he's clever.
It obviously was Eric as he often demonstrates his inability to differentiate between "your" and "you're".
Obviously the standards at Jackson Hole Bible College aren't that high.
Now now, there's no need to pick on Eric.
I am sure he is hard at work trying to find a dictionary that defines Evolution as The Big Bang.
Any day now....
In the meantime Eric is getting his own debunking videos on YouTube. "Debunking Creationist Geology (Part 1)" by Geochron.
Perhaps when Eric has finished with the ExtantDodo's he could move on to that.
I am fully supportive of the efforts of CSE and Living Waters.
After exploring the evidence for evolution I am very angry that I have been duped by the evolutionist propaganda with stupid assertions about "mountains of evidence".
There IS NO MOUNTAINS OF EVIDENCE. It is all in their head. Their continual assertion that I have not looked hard enough is total bull. I cannot find the evidence because the IS NO CONVINCING EVIDENCE proving evolution.
This is not a battle between God and science but rather between good science and bad science.
Evolution is a religion you believe in, not science that can be observed and reproduced.
Keep up the good work!!!

theot58,
Care to back your claim that there is no evidence of evolution.
There IS NO MOUNTAINS OF EVIDENCE. It is all in their head.
Atheists say that God is all your head.
It's funny you know, nvecause there are something on the order of 250 million fossils dug up so far, in a very specific arrangement indicating faunal succession.
That's quite a mountain to me!
And Fossils aren't even the best evidence we have anymore! Just one of the many different lines of evidence.
And the Golden Crocoduck Award voting has begun!
You are up against some stiff competition Eric, best of luck!
I voted for Ray on this one. The barrage of stupidity on his blog has increased a hundred fold if not more.
Not only does Ray employ the same tired nonsense as Kent/Eric Hovind (with a heavy helping of NWO and other conspiracy theory nutjob baloney thrown in) but he actually produces some of his own garbage. Granted it's HEAVILY influenced by AiG and Gish but at least he tries.
Thank you so much for promoting this. For every already deeply Christian you 'convince' with this, 5 more will see what specious arguments are used against the fact of evolution and common descent.
I wouldn't call Dr. Hovind's grasp of science incomplete. I'd call him a common sense scientist, not a believe-there's-pie-in-the-sky-if-the-random-genome-made-it kind of scientist.
I like Dr. Hovind's offer to pay for the removal of any scientist's tail bone who really believes it's vestigial. So far, I haven't heard of any takers.
Hey, these people walking around with vestigial tail bones are the same folks that said the appendix was vestigial, and we know that isn't true.
Give me a break. When science outstrips real, observable, testable facts, it's science fiction, not science.
I have a feeling that if the King James of NIV was treated with the sort of disrespect that Ray Comfort gave "Origin of Species," there would have been a public outcry. Instead, Ray Comfort hid behind some lies and general blasphemy of his own... What happened to honesty in Christians?
Twitterpated, it sounds like you are the using the common creationist falsehood that 'vestigial means useless'. Oddly enough it's not what it means. Not even Darwin thought that.
